Author Safaa Ali was 9 years old when she wrote Why Peacocks have Colorful Feathers. Safaa will read her book and answer questions from a panel as well as the audience. Amanda Bauhofer, one of the Kids Write 4 Kids contest judges and Tamara Capar, our editor, will also be available for Q&A. Children and parents are encouraged to ask any questions, including writing tips for 2017-2018 Kids Write 4 Kids Creative Challenge. Attendees will also have the change to win 1 of 10 signed copies of Why Peacocks Have Colorful Feathers!
If you believe reading and writing are important aspects of education, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Additionally, please view our latest blog, addressed to the “Writer of the Future”, an open letter from last year’s Kids Write 4 Kids winner, Olivia Simms. It is filled with insights and encouragement for this year’s participants.
